Java Casino

This game incorporates different individual games you'd find in a Casino. The difference is, no real money is involved, so you don't have to worry about selling the car! This game will likely be expanded upon in the future, but at this point I have completed two games, blackjack and video poker.

Video poker is just like regular poker, except you're trying to get the best hand you can all by yourself. You get one draw, pick the cards you feel will set you up for the best hand and then you get to draw more cards to replace the ones you didn't hold on to. If you have a winning hand, you win points.

In blackjack, you and the dealer try to get a hand worth 21 or less. Face cards are worth 10, aces can be either 1 or 11, your pick, and all the others are their face value. You keep "hitting", or taking cards, until you get to the point that you think you can beat the dealer without going over 21 if you were to take another card. That's when you "stand". If your first two cards total 10 or 11, you can "double", or double your bet, and get one more card before automatically standing. The dealer will then take a turn and try to beat your hand total, hitting until its total is 17 or more. Whoever has the highest hand still under 21 gets their initial bet doubled.
